KWC at a Glance...

LOCATION: Owensboro, Kentucky's third largest city (55,000), is located on the Ohio River, and is 40 minutes east of Evansville, Indiana, 2 hours north of Nashville, Tennessee, 2 hours west of Louisville, Kentucky, and 4 hours east of St. Louis, Missouri.

ACADEMICS: Offering 27 majors and 10 pre-professional curriculums, Kentucky Wesleyan College has a 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

ENROLLMENT: Last fall semester 956 students from 27 states and 6 foreign countries attended classes.

FRESHMAN PROFILE: Our average freshman has a B average in high school and scores above 20 on the ACT (or 900-1,100 on the new SAT). Over one third rank in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class.

FACULTY: More than 88 percent of our faculty have a Ph.D. or terminal degree.

ATHLETICS: The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers compete in NCAA Division II and are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Intercollegiate men's teams include baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and football. Women compete in basketball, softball, tennis, golf, volleyball and soccer.
