Outstanding Alumni

Authorized by the Alumni Association in 1973, the award is the highest honor the Association can bestow. The award recognizes sustained significant support to the college, the church, and/or the community. Persons considered for this award must be alumni.

Outstanding Young Graduate Award

This first-time award is to be presented to a graduate from Kentucky Wesleyan within the past fifteen years. Since attending Kentucky Wesleyan, this individual has distinguished him/herself through professional or personal achievement, has possessed outstanding leadership in their profession and community, whose contribution reflects well on Kentucky Wesleyan, and whose life is an inspiration to others in the Kentucky Wesleyan community. Nominee must demonstrate continued interest and/or contact with Kentucky Wesleyan.

Alumni Achievement

Commenced in 1999, this award recognizes alumni who have achieved a level of eminence within their professional field of endeavor to have gained distinction for themselves and/or Kentucky Wesleyan. Recipients must be recognized by their peers for achievement at the state, national, and/or international level, have evidence of merit in his or her profession and/or community involvement and be alumni of the college whose class has graduated more than five years ago.

Alumni Service

The Alumni Service Award is intended to honor those alumni who most clearly represent the Spirit of Kentucky Wesleyan. The award recognizes years of dedicated work and service to the College. Nominees must be alumni of Kentucky Wesleyan.

Gus E. Paris Distinguished Service

Named for long-time faculty and staff member, Gus Paris, this award honors members of the faculty or staff or any non- alumnus for outstanding contributions and/or distinguished service to the college. The award recognizes the person and service of those like Gus who helped make Kentucky Wesleyan what it is today.

Honorary Alumnus/a

This award was established in 1996 to recognize individuals who are not alumni, but who have given unselfishly of their time and talents to Kentucky Wesleyan College.
