The Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Music Department will present Henry Purcell and Nahum Tate’s operatic masterpiece, “Dido and Aeneas,” on Thursday, Feb. 25, at

7 p.m. in Rogers Hall at the Winchester Center.  The semi-staged performance features the Kentucky Wesleyan Singers and soloists in their portrayal of the ill-fated romance of Dido, played by Sarah-Nell Hibbs, and Aeneas, played by Jonathan Poland.  Other cast members include Heather Lacy as Belinda and Nicole Hannah as the Sorceress.  Dr. Bradley Naylor will conduct, and Dr. Diane Earle will accompany the singers.  A fundraiser for the choral program, the performance’s ticket proceeds will support the continued music making of the Kentucky Wesleyan College’s excellent choral students.  Tickets are available at the door; $10 for adults and $5 for students with an ID. The public is invited to attend.
