Bachelor of Science in General Studies (Degree Completion)

Kentucky Wesleyan College offers an online degree completion program leading to a Bachelor of Science in General Studies.  The flexibility and format of this program are designed especially for working adults pursuing a college degree.  The general studies program is designed to provide an excellent interdisciplinary education.  Instead of selecting a traditional academic major, general studies students explore a variety of areas, tailoring a curriculum to fit their interests.

Admission Requirements:  To enter the degree completion program in general studies, prospective students must have at least 65 credit hours from one or more regionally-accredited institutions of higher learning.  In addition, prospective students must meet the Kentucky Wesleyan College requirements for all transfer students.

Program Requirements: With guidance from an academic advisor, general studies students must select at least 36 hours of courses in three to five areas.  These courses are not randomly selected, but rather form a meaningful interdisciplinary curriculum.  In a capstone course, general studies seniors complete a project in which they combine the knowledge gained from these disciplines.
