About KWC's Center for Business Studies
Six full-time and six part-time faculty members deliver an exciting and challenging business curriculum. Each of us have earned our degrees from the finest colleges and universities in America in addition to having real business-world work experience. As you progress from freshman to senior, we will serve you as teachers, advisors and mentors.
Our course work is designed to prepare you for the next step, whether that is attending a professional or graduate school or beginning your chosen career path. We encourage eligible students to intern with business firms to gain first-hand experience -- the vast majority of these internships are paid.
We want you to succeed.
Our programs in accounting, business administration and computer information systems have been accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), a specialized organization that recognizes excellence in business education in colleges and universities.
In addition, the Business progam is a member of Sigma Beta Delta – an International Honor Society for Business that promotes higher scholarship in business education. Each year, exceptional graduates are inducted into this organization.
If you haven’t done so already, please visit KWC. As you walk around our campus, you will find a friendly supportive environment where faculty and students get to know each other by name.
When you visit, please make sure your admissions’ counselor sets up an appointment with someone from the Business faculty. We would love a chance to meet you in person, talk to you about our programs and discuss how we can be a part of your educational experience.
In addition to our accreditation with SACS, Kentucky Wesleyan has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Lenexa, Kansas, USA.
The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:
Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Accounting; Business Administration with Emphases in Administrative Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management and Sports Administration; and Computer Information Systems.
