Welcome to the PLUS Center!
Whether you are a first-time KWC student or returning student, the PLUS Center invites you to take advantage of all the free services available.
From tutoring to workshops to individual help, we are here to help students succeed.
Located in the Library Learning Center, the PLUS Center has helped students for over thirty-five years, offering assistance in a variety of subjects.
What is the PLUS Center?
The Darrell PLUS Center, located in the Library Learning Center, provides many free services to all KWC students including
+ peer tutoring,
+ study sessions,
+ writing and reading assistance,
+ services for students with disabilities.
KWC faculty recommend tutors for students who need help outside of class both in individual sessions and group study sessions. The PLUS Center recruits and trains these tutors and oversees their work.
In addition, students can meet with PLUS faculty for assistance in writing and reading.
The PLUS Center administers various tests and serves as a residual test center for the ACT.
Throughout the school year, the PLUS Center offers free workshops open to all Wesleyan students including informational sessions on taking the GRE and LSAT, test-taking and note-taking workshops, and workshops for writing students.
Finally, the PLUS Center provides services to students with disabilities including special testing, tutoring, and note-taking.
ALL SERVICES ARE FREE TO KENTUCKY WESLEYAN COLLEGE STUDENTS.
