Kentucky Wesleyan College Announces Additions to Advancement Team

IMG_7892low resOwensboro, Ky. (May 19, 2015) – Kentucky Wesleyan College Vice President of Advancement Tom Keith announces the additions of M. Blake Harrison as director of development and donor relations and Jenna Brashear as advancement coordinator.

Mr. Harrison, who will oversee annual giving for the Development Office, comes to Wesleyan from Georgetown College, where he served as a development officer for the past year.  Previously, he worked at Western Kentucky University in development and marketing roles with the College Heights Foundation, Department of Athletics, and alumni relations and annual giving. The Paducah native earned a bachelor of arts in news and editorial journalism and a master’s degree in recreation and sport administration from WKU.

IMG_7903low resMs. Brashear, who will work in both a development and alumni relations capacity, previously served as a student affairs officer with the College of Fine Arts at the University of Kentucky after earning her master’s degree in education policy from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University in 2013.   While at Vanderbilt, she was a graduate research assistant and served as a graduate fellow for the State Collaborative on Reforming Education in Nashville.  As a double major during her undergraduate years at UK, she earned her bachelor’s degree in both international studies and German in May of 2010.

“We are thrilled to have Blake and Jenna join our advancement team,” said Mr. Keith.  “Their combination of experience and enthusiasm, along with their passion for higher education, aligns perfectly with what we do at Kentucky Wesleyan College.  We intend to do things at the highest level in advancement and that starts by investing in high-level people like Blake and Jenna.  Our constituents will enjoy getting to know them.”
