Events will include Fall Family Weekend, the Alumni Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner, Class of 1968 Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner, Wesleyan Singers Concert, tailgate and food truck rally, the big game, and more!

Friday, September 28
build-a-bed – 9:00 a.m.
(Two-Hour Shifts Through 5 p.m.)
Campus Ministries invites Homecoming and Fall Family Weekend guests to participate in a unique service activity. Groups are needed to build beds, which will be provided to local families in need. 14 children benefited from this single-day ministry in 2017, and the goal is to double the output this year.

The Class of 1968 will begin its Golden Jubilee celebration with a special reception for class members and guests.

Cost: $40 per person
The Kentucky Wesleyan College Athletics Department will honor some of the great Panthers of the past with induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Guests will enjoy a reception followed by a meal and the induction ceremony for the Class of 2018. The 1973 men’s basketball NCAA Champions will also be recognized as the Team of Distinction.

The ΣΝ Golf Tournament returns to Homecoming weekend! Guests are invited to participate in a scramble at Ben Hawes Golf Course in support of The Ashburn Project – a foundation for diabetes research founded by David Ashburn ’87. The tournament also honors the memory of fraternity brother, Blake Crews. Players will enjoy breakfast and lunch, along with prizes, and a guaranteed great time!

Greenwell Library & Learning Center
Enjoy a look back at Wesleyan history as the Greenwell Library puts together a display to celebrate our past. The theme will surround the Class of 1968 and the life and times of Wesleyan during that era.

All Golden Jubilee Club members are invited to enjoy a meal and welcome the Class of 1968 as it celebrates its 50th Reunion.
Panther Tailgate and Food Truck Rally – 11:00 a.m.
Area Adjacent to Foster Field and the Southeast Corner of Steele Stadium
The ultimate Wesleyan tailgate will get you fired up for the Panther football game versus Walsh University. Our block party atmosphere is back with football alumnus Sammy Bland ’10 providing musical entertainment will feature food trucks, cornhole and other games, complimentary refreshments and desserts, and more. This year’s Tailgate will also feature a family-friendly area with inflatables, music, face painting, etc. on north side of Steele Stadium in the Hahn Parking Lot.
Food trucks scheduled to participate include Real Hacienda, Curbside Kitchenette and Fresh by Genes.
Make sure to check in at the Alumni Association table under the main tent to pick up complimentary tickets to the football game and a special Homecoming 2018 giveaway!
Wesleyan Singers Concert – 11:15 a.m.
The show you don’t want to miss!! The Wesleyan Singers will showcase their talents with a concert featuring all of the favorites, plus a surprise number or two.

Tribute to Dr. W.L. Magnuson – noon
Yu Hak Hahn Center for the Sciences
Celebrate Dr. W.L. Magnuson, who retired from Wesleyan after 49 years of service, as we honor him with a special reception and plant a tree recognizing his contributions to Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Baseball Purple/Black World Series – noon
Head to the ballpark for the annual fall wrap-up for the Kentucky Wesleyan College baseball program. This is a great chance to meet and see the current Panthers in action as they play their annual 14-inning intrasquad game.
Football vs. Walsh University – 1:00 p.m.
(Pick up free game tickets from the Alumni Association table at the Panther Tailgate)
Volleyball vs. Ohio Valley – 1:00 p.m.
Softball Alumni Game – 6:00 p.m.
Former Panther Softball players are invited back to Foster Field to play in our annual alumni game. All are welcome to come cheer on the alumni in a slow pitch contest, while also meeting members of our current softball team.

HOMECOMING 2017 – WHAT A CELEBRATION
Alumni traveled from Japan, Nigeria, California, the Northeast and all points in between to celebrate Homecoming 2017 on campus and throughout the Owensboro/Daviess County area October 6-8. Alumni and Athletic Hall of Famers were enshrined, and Alumni Award recipients honored for their service and commitment to Kentucky Wesleyan. There was even a special presentation by the Mayor of Owensboro, Tom Watson, as he gave the Key to the City to each member of our Alumni Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
Golfers teed it up at both the Panther Athletic Fund and Sigma Nu Golf scrambles, while the Wesleyan Singers offered a Homecoming Concert that echoed throughout the campus from Tapscott Chapel. The Class of 1967 celebrated its 50th Reunion and was welcomed into the Golden Jubilee Club.
