Alison Leedy

Alison Leedy, Adjunct Faculty, Art and Graphic Design Department

 

Alison Leedy is an art historian and curator who researches the history of modernist women photographers in twentieth century American and Australian art. After completing a Master’s in Art History from Temple University, Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia (2012) Leedy has lectured both online and on-ground in Art History subjects for the past ten years and has presented her research at international conferences in London at The University of Birkbeck and CUNY Graduate School in Manhattan. She was Visiting Professor of Art History for Texas Wesleyan University’s Study Abroad Program in Beijing China in 2014. 

Leedy is also a poet and songwriter who has received international artist fellowships to the Gullkistan Center for Creativity in Iceland (2016) and recently to the Freehold Taos Residency program in New Mexico (2018). She is originally from Ohio but lives both in Colorado and Australia and recently completed her MA Graduate Research Thesis in Art Curatorship at the Graduate School of Culture and Communication at The University of Melbourne.
