Education: 

B. A. from Southeastern Louisiana University

M. A. T. S. and M. R. E. from Liberty University.

He has done additional study at The Master’s Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ron came to KWC after serving several years in Christian publishing, managing the textbook department at Grand Canyon University, and serving on staff at Owensboro Christian Church. Mr. Sharp teaches Survey of Christian Traditions, Introduction to Religion, Eastern Religious Traditions, Abrahamic Faiths, and The Bible in its Context. He has developed new courses including The Reformation at 500, Topics in Religion and Society, and A Religious History of the American People. He teaches both face-to-face classes and online classes. Mr. Sharp’s great desire is to provide students a pair of glasses through which to see the world and thereby increase understanding of it. He is currently developing courses on Christian Ethics and Faith on Film. Mr. Sharp received his B. A. from Southeastern Louisiana University, and his M. A. T. S. and M. R. E. from Liberty University. He has done additional study at The Master’s Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mr. Sharp is married to Brenda, and they have one married son, Daniel, who is married to KWC alumnae Makayla (Gish). The family is complete through their Yorkshire Terrier, Sophia. Mr. Sharp maintains an active role in the campus community, managing The Panther’s Den Spirit Store on campus (since 2018), serving as Advisor for the Sigma Nu Chapter at KWC (since 2010), and pastoring No Creek Community Church in Hartford KY (since 2017). Mr. Sharp enjoys reading, college sports, and musical theatre.
