Continuous Improvement at Kentucky Wesleyan College
The Kentucky Wesleyan College community seeks continuous improvement in all aspects of its life including student learning, residential life, undergraduate research, access to technology, service to the community as a learning experience, business practices, and athletics. An important component of this commitment includes our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) developed for the Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS) which oversees our institutional accreditation.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requires all their colleges and universities to undertake a multi-year Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to improve student learning. Kentucky Wesleyan has chosen a project in critical thinking for its QEP. Check out this list of critical thinking skills to get a better idea of what constitutes critical thinking. Our QEP will begin as a fairly small pilot study, involving three freshman classes. The project will gradually increase in size. Eventually critical thinking will involve every department on campus. This project will be directed by Dr. Roger Gardner.
