About me? If I’m not hitting the books and studying late nights, you can catch me at my job, Studio 105 Art & Frame, having a photoshoot, hanging with my family and friends, watching a movie at Malco, or playing with my two puppies, Kanon and Kookie!, but I’m eager to join even more in the fall! I’m super outgoing, funny (that’s for you to judge, haha!), and my love for KWC is so grand! I hope to be a person each of you can turn to anytime you’re feeling overwhelmed or if you just need a friend during this big transition. I cannot wait to meet each of you all soon and officially welcome you to the Panther Family!

  • Welcome Letter

    • I hope that you are as excited as we are to have you on campus in August.  We know that Kentucky Wesleyan College is the college where you will live, learn, and lead over the next four years.  We also know that this is a place where you can be successful and earn a degree!

To support you in reaching your goals, you have been selected for our Rising Scholars program at KWC.  This program is specifically intended to give students the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed to graduation.

The most exciting part of being a Rising Scholar is your participation in our weeklong Rising Scholars Bridge Program that will take place on campus from Sunday, August 1 – Saturday, August 7.  During that week you will live on campus, eat in the dining hall, and gain important skills that will aid in your success at Kentucky Wesleyan College.  For your participation you will receive a $250 check to assist you with college-related expenses and a $250 textbook credit for the Fall 2021 semester.  If you are an out-of-state student or fall sport student-athlete (football, cross country, soccer, volleyball), you will have the opportunity to remain on campus from the end of the Bridge Program until the beginning of the semester.

In addition to the Bridge Program, Rising Scholars will also be assigned a Student Success coach who will guide you throughout your first year at Wesleyan -helping you to develop and identify your strengths and areas of challenge, connecting you to resources on campus, and serving as your cheerleader throughout your journey.

Why should you participate in the Rising Scholars program? The transition from high school to college is a big change.  Learning to balance classes, study time, involvements like athletics and clubs, and your personal life can be the key to earning your degree.  We want to provide you with every resource available to help you to be successful.

There is also a financial incentive for participating in the program.  Rising Scholars can earn a $500 discount on their Spring 2022 tuition by doing the following:

      • attending the Bridge Program
      • AND meeting regularly with their Student Success Coach
      • AND attending at least three enrichment programs through the Student Success Center or Office of Student Services (the schedule will be sent to you)
      • AND earning at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA for Fall 2021 will earn a $500 discount on their Spring 2022 tuition.

You will have the same opportunity in the Spring to earn a discount for Fall 2022.

We are really excited about the Rising Scholars program and very excited for you to be involved!
