Fall Preview 2023

Hello Wesleyan Family!

It has been a busy summer here on campus; but it certainly isn’t the same without each of you here. We can’t wait to have you all on campus.

You will see some changes around campus, as our folks have been hard at work on various projects. These projects include additional access points for wireless internet in the residence halls, new flooring in Massie, sidewalk repairs, security cameras in the parking lots, a new app that lets residential students know the status of their laundry, and more. I think you will be impressed with these improvements! We are also excited to welcome several new faculty and staff to campus to join our other energetic and student-focused employees.

The start of the school year is quickly approaching. We hope each and every one of you will join us for Opening Convocation on August 19 and that you can’t wait to start classes on August 22.

It is going to be an amazing year here at Kentucky Wesleyan College and you are the biggest reason!

See you soon!!

Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students

      Working at Wesleyan

Working on campus can be a great, convenient way to earn some money. There are three things Human Resources would like you to know before you start working.

      1. Students must complete a Form I-9 before work begins. This federal form requires that certain forms of identification be presented. Bring your IDs as listed with the form to Human Resources.
      2. The timesheet for students is on the PantherNet. Timesheets should be filled in electronically and then printed for signatures. Submit completed timesheets to the Cashier’s Office in the Administration Building.
      3. Students can direct deposit their paychecks to their bank. The direct deposit authorization form is available on the PantherNet and should be returned to Human Resources.

If you have questions about student payroll, please contact Human Resources at lkeller@kwc.edu or stop by the office, located on the first floor of the Administration Building in the Business Office.

    • Financial Aid
    • How to ”stay in the loop” on your Financial Aid?

      Read all emails & texts!

Our office has been upgrading to a new software system. For students, we’ve implemented Net Partner and that’s where you’ll go to:

      • View Award Offer & Accept/Decline your aid
      • Missing Documents–have you checked to see if you’re missing documents?

To Access Net Partner: We’ll be sending Username & Password instructions

to your KWC email in July. Once you have log in information, you’ll go to the KWC website, I am a Current Student and scroll down to find Net Partner.

      DO NOT DELAY!

Neglecting to Accept/Decline Aid or complete missing documents WILL delay payment to your account and refund processing

    • Honors Program
    • Welcome to Kentucky Wesleyan College! My name is Dr. Janella Moy, and I am the Director of the Honors Program.

The Honors Program at Kentucky Wesleyan is an auto-enrollment, academic program for incoming freshmen meeting the following criteria:

      • a 3.25 GPA or higher
      • an ACT score of 25 or higher
      • A 1200- 1220 SAT score or higher

Once admitted to the Honors Program, the incoming Honors freshmen will participate in the KW101 Learning Community. The Honors Program participants will be recognized at the Bridging Ceremony at the end of their freshman year. Over the next three to four years, the student will engage in five or more (15 credit hours or more) Honors classes. Upon completing the 15 credit hours, the senior Honors student must produce a capstone thesis project presented at Scholars Day to share insights on their experiences and learning with the Wesleyan Community.

There are many advantages to being an Honors student such as priority registration, fun and educational activities with fellow Honors students and Honors faculty, and the special designation of Honors Program on both the transcript and diploma upon graduation.

If you are interested in being considered for the Honors Program or would like more information about Honors, please contact me at janella.moy@kwc.edu or stop by my office – FOB # 12.

I look forward to seeing you on campus in August and helping you plan for an exciting and challenging academic career.
