Owensboro, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2016) Whether considering college options after high school or transferring to finish a degree, Kentucky Wesleyan College invites high school and college transfer students to the Academic Spotlight and Open House on Saturday, March 12.
The Academic Spotlight and Open House just got better! The Department of Financial Aid will award three lucky attendees a $500 scholarship to be used for tuition at Kentucky Wesleyan College! Other prizes will also be awarded on March 12!
To be eligible, the student must register for and attend the Academic Spotlight and/or Open House event on March 12. A drawing will take place during the event.
Please note, in order to receive this award, the student must be eligible based on our Financial Aid Policies.
The Academic Spotlight event will provide students the opportunity to explore one of four focused sessions with our faculty and students: STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), Fine Arts (communication arts, graphic design, music and theater), Business (business administration and accounting) and Criminal Justice and Criminology. Students will have the opportunity to attend seminars taught by professors and learn about student life.
At the Open House, students may explore nearly 40 academic majors and pre-professional programs. The Open House will also include tours of the campus and a student and academic engagement fair with information on student life, financial aid and scholarships, NCAA college athletics, the Sophomore Year Experience and study abroad opportunities.
Lunch for students and their families on-campus will also be part of the scheduled events.
The Academic Spotlight will kick-off with registration beginning at 9am CDT in the Winchester Community Center and the Open House will begin at 10:30am CDT. Registrations may be made online at here or by calling the Admissions Office at 270-852-3120. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
