Kentucky Wesleyan College recognized by The Princeton Review and Washington Monthly

For the 13th year in a row, Kentucky Wesleyan College is one of the best colleges in the Southeast according to The Princeton Review (www.PrincetonReview.com). The well-known education services company lists Wesleyan among its “Best in the Southeast” schools in its “2017 Best Colleges: Region by Region” website feature that posted on August 30, 2016.  The feature is accessible at http://www.princetonreview.com/bestSEcolleges.  Collectively, the 649 colleges on The Princeton Review’s “regional best” lists constitute the top 25% of the nation’s 2,500 four-year colleges.

“We are pleased and honored to be ranked so highly on a national level,” shared President Barton D. Darrell. “I see this as another confirmation of the superior faculty and committed staff we have, and the rankings recognize the outstanding students who are preparing for their futures at Kentucky Wesleyan. We believe in the current and future demand for a strong private, faith-based and affordable college education, and the latest recognition reflects that we are delivering this kind of college experience.”

“We chose Kentucky Wesleyan College and the other outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their excellent academics,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s senior vice president-publisher. The Princeton Review editors made their selections based on data the company collected from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, as well as its staff visits to schools over the years, and the perspectives of college counselors and advisors whose opinions the company solicits.

In addition, Washington Monthly recognized Wesleyan as the top institution for a bachelor’s degree in Kentucky, and No. 33 in the nation.  This set of rankings is based on an institution’s contribution to the public good in three categories: social mobility, research and service.

Kentucky Wesleyan College is a United Methodist-related four-year institution located in Owensboro with a strong reputation for a rigorous academic environment and vibrant campus life experience.
