Kentucky Wesleyan Office of Advancement recognized for statewide excellence

Earns six awards at 2015 CASE Kentucky conference

Owensboro, Ky. (Dec. 14, 2015) – Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Office of Advancement earned six awards at last week’s annual conference in Lexington for the Kentucky chapter of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the professional organization for educational professionals in the areas of development, alumni relations, public relations and marketing.  

Wesleyan garnered five awards for outstanding achievement in the following divisions:

Electronic and Digital Media

The top honor of GRAND AWARD for the fundraising video, “Thanks for Giving”

SPECIAL MERIT for the marketing/branding video, “Homecoming 2014 Recap”

Print and Digital Publications

AWARD OF EXCELLENCE in the category of Magazine/Tabloid Improvement, for the Summer 2015 edition of “Kentucky Wesleyan Magazine”

Graphic Design

AWARD OF EXCELLENCE in the category of Single-Page Publication, for the 2014 “There’s No Place Like Homecoming” piece

SPECIAL MERIT in the category of Photography-Series, for the “Winchester Picnic 2014” commemorative photo album

In addition, Advancement Coordinator Jenna Brashear was awarded the Newcomer to CASE District III Scholarship for 2015, which will allow her to attend the district’s annual conference in Nashville this coming February. 

“I am extremely proud of the hard work and professionalism our staff exhibits each and every day to propel Kentucky Wesleyan forward,” said Tom Keith, the school’s vice president for advancement.  “We appreciate being recognized by our peers throughout the Commonwealth.”
