Close to 300 guests attended for annual celebration
Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College President’s Gala, which took place Friday, April 20 at the Owensboro Convention Center, officially sold out for the third year in a row. The annual event celebrated the successes of the College over the past year, while recognizing the school’s most generous benefactors.
“We have again had a tremendous response and look forward to celebrating with many of our alumni and friends,” said Vice President for Advancement Tom Keith. “In three short years, this has turned into the signature event on our calendar.”
The black-tie optional affair recognizes the College’s President’s Circle – the annual giving society of donors who give $1,000 or more during the year – while honoring the accomplishments of students, alumni, and other benefactors over the last 12 months.
Festivities began with a cocktail reception, sponsored by Independence Bank, followed by a plated dinner, remarks from President Barton Darrell and an energetic after-party, sponsored by American Patriot Getaways, featuring Nashville’s award-winning group, The Downtown Band.
