POSTPONED: Kentucky Wesleyan to Host Estate Planning Seminar with Attorney Jesse T. Mountjoy

The Estate Planning Seminar with attorney Jesse T. Mountjoy has been postponed. Another date to be announced. 

Owensboro, Ky. (Nov. 23, 2015) – Kentucky Wesleyan College will host an estate planning seminar conducted by Owensboro attorney Jesse T. Mountjoy of Sullivan, Mountjoy, Stainback & Miller, P.S.C., on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 p.m. in Tapscott Chapel in the Barnard-Jones Administration Building. The event is free and open to the public. Mr. Mountjoy will address how individuals can avoid estate taxes through charitable giving while still providing for their heirs. Refreshments will be served. The seminar is hosted by the Office of Advancement.

Mr. Mountjoy’s areas of concentration are estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, tax and retirement planning, employee benefits, corporate tax planning, estate and tax litigation and elder law. He earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Centre College in 1965 and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1969. He was admitted to practice law in Kentucky in 1970; in United States Tax Court in 1971; in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky in 1974; and in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1974. He was Senior Trial Attorney for the Chief Counsel’s Office of the Internal Revenue Service from 1970 to 1974.
