Leadership Wesleyan is designed to prepare soon-to-be Wesleyan Alumni for the real world! The program, scheduled for March 11-12, 2022 will include a networking dinner at The Country Club of Owensboro on Friday evening followed by a conference-style Saturday full of breakout sessions led by alumni speakers, professional headshots & more! The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 25. The program will be limited to the first 50 juniors & seniors who apply.

Friday, March 11

Welcome Reception
4:30 p.m. at The Country Club of Owensboro (400 E. Byers Ave. Owensboro, Ky. 42303)

Join us for a networking dinner featuring addresses by Doug Hoyt ’84, Eddie Kenny, VP of Advancement, and presenting sponsor Glenmore Distillery. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for networking and the program will begin at 5 p.m. Business attire required.

Saturday, March 12

Leadership Wesleyan Conference

8 a.m. – Coffee Hour – We’ll see you bright and early for a continental breakfast, free headshots and time to network with the morning’s speakers before we formally kick off the day at 9 a.m. 
9 a.m. – Hindsight’s 20/20″ – Join Quadarius Wallace ‘13, Brandon Cox ‘10 & Hillary (Lantrip) Croft ’14 for a special panel where these young alumni will give you a sneak peak on what it’s like to enter the real world and share with you things they wish they’d known when they were in your shoes.

12-1:15 – Lunch & Life Lessons with President Emeritus Bart Darrell ‘84 – Description coming soon!

Morning Breakout Sessions:

“Funding a Good Life” – Join Ed Krahwinkel ’93 for a session that’s centered around all things personal finance. Learn Ed’s tips & tricks to saving, budgeting and borrowing and why your credit score matters.

“Under Roofs and Behind Wheels” – Join Lauren (Warner) Lee ’05 and Scott Lyons ’04 for their session that’s focused on buying/renting cars & homes – and the importance of good insurance and a low interest rate.

Afternoon Breakout Sessions:

“Good Things Come to Those Who Work” – Join Bob McDole ’78 to learn about the art of finding, getting and keeping a job and why even your “dream job” might take some getting used to.

“Choosing Courage” Join Allyson (Forrest) Sanders ’05 to hear about her journey to entrepreneurship and passion for helping her community through her work.
