Why did you chose to attend Wesleyan?

I was given the opportunity to play football at the next level. I found the small class sizes appealing, and   from the first campus visit, it was apparent that the coaches, administrators and recruiters took an interest in getting to know me as a person.

How did the College prepare you for your career?

The small class sizes at Wesleyan really forced me to get to know my fellow classmates and work beside a variety of people with different backgrounds. On the football field, I learned a lot about discipline, work ethic and responsibility.

Who served as a mentor to you at Wesleyan?

Dr. Jim Welch in the Center for Business Studies was the most influential person I encountered. As a business major, I was fortunate that he was not only my professor, but my mentor. He was always approachable in any situation, and he kept an open dialogue in his classroom, which allowed the discussion of many topics and points of view.

What are special memories of your Wesleyan years?

Relationships with teammates, other students and professors. I formed life-long friendships during those years, and I would not enjoy these friendships today without my Wesleyan experience. That means a lot to me.
