Our Mission
Kentucky Wesleyan College, in partnership with the United Methodist Church, fosters a liberal arts education that nourishes and prepares students intellectually, spiritually, and physically to achieve success in life.

Our Story
The dream of a college grounded in faith and learning began with Kentucky Methodists in 1858. From its first class in Millersburg to its permanent home in Owensboro since 1954, Wesleyan has continued to grow and evolve while staying true to its mission. For more than 165 years, generations of Panthers have built a tradition of excellence, resilience, and community that defines the Wesleyan Way—succeed with honor, support one another, compete with integrity, and love one another.
Our Leadership
Under the leadership of Dr. James P. Cousins, Kentucky Wesleyan continues to embrace openness, transparency, and innovation—welcoming new ideas and building lasting connections between campus and community.
The Wesleyan Experience
Here, learning extends beyond the classroom. With more than 40 academic programs, championship athletics, student organizations, and a faith-centered approach to life, students experience a balance of challenge and care. Every course, mentorship, and campus tradition is designed to help students find their purpose and pursue it with confidence.
