About Kentucky Wesleyan College & Owensboro

_MG_1928Kentucky Wesleyan College is a 153-year old liberal arts college located in Owensboro, Kentucky, a city on the Ohio River. We are a leader in liberal arts and professional education with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence. Currently serving approximately 700 students, Kentucky Wesleyan provides a challenging and supportive academic experience, a positive work environment, a stimulating culture and a competitive athletics program.

The college is approved by the University Senate of the General Board of Higher Education & Ministry as a United Methodist-related academic institution.

In 2013, The National Civic League again named Owensboro an All-America City and Money Magazine recently ranked Owensboro as one of the best places to live in the small cities category. Well-located, Owensboro is small enough to promote a hometown atmosphere yet large enough to support many amenities usually available in much larger cities.

Owensboro is known for warm hospitality, great museums and a world-class performing arts center. The city hosts over 20 exciting festivals throughout the year, including the International Bar-B-Q Festival.

Owensboro is just 40 minutes east of Evansville, Indiana, two hours north of Nashville, Tennessee, two hours west of Louisville, Kentucky, and four hours east of St. Louis, Missouri. Daviess County is home to 94,000 residents.
