The Application Process
Applications for admission are reviewed individually upon receipt of all appropriate academic credentials. Students are notified of their admission status as soon as possible. Kentucky Wesleyan College Online is committed to admitting those applicants who demonstrate the potential for academic success at the College.
Step 1: Submit your application
Start your journey toward a transformational college experience today! Our application is fast, simple, and completely free. Submit your application directly through our website. Once you apply, you’re one step closer to discovering your potential and stepping confidently into your future as a Panther.
The Office of Admissions reserves the right to request additional information or a personal interview.
Step 2: Submit all official transcripts
International students must send official transcripts from every secondary school and college or university they have attended. These transcripts must be in your native language. You must also send an official English translation of each transcript, provided by your school or university.
If your college or university is outside the United States, your transcripts must be reviewed for transfer credit. You need to have them evaluated by a professional credential evaluation service. Kentucky Wesleyan College recommends World Education Services (WES). Visit www.wes.org for instructions and list Kentucky Wesleyan College as the school that should receive your results.
Step 3: Submit english proficiency exam scores
International students are required to submit an exam score that meets Wesleyan’s minimum English proficiency requirement. Exception: International students whose primary and secondary educational instruction was in English and took place in a nation where English is an official spoken language are exempt from this requirement.
We accept official IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo (DET) results from the testing headquarters. Scoring requirements are listed below:
- Minimum DET score of 105
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.0
- Minimum TOEFL score of 70 (iBT)
Step 4: Provide proof of ability to pay and additional documentation

Visit our Cost & Aid page to learn more about the resources we have available for you.As a required part of the process to obtain your F-1 Visa, a bank statement on bank letterhead is required. We will accept scanned or faxed copies of the official bank statement or an original bank statement. An available balance of our Cost of Attendance less any institutional aid is required. Additional funds are required if you are bringing a spouse and/or a dependent.
A PDF with guidelines for this statement will be provided after your submit your application.
Your Admissions Counselor will be in touch if additional documentation is required for your admission.
Step 5: Submit your Enrollment Deposit
Secure your place in the Panther family and receive priority for housing and class placement by submitting your enrollment deposit as soon as you are ready to commit to Kentucky Wesleyan.

Additionally, you will need to pay your I-901 Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee prior to scheduling your visa appointment. Please visit FMJfee.com to pay the fee.
Step 6: Accept your Award
Accepting your financial aid award ensures that your funds are ready to be applied at the start of the semester.
Once you officially commit to Kentucky Wesleyan, you will receive login credentials for your student portal. From there, you can review and accept your financial aid package online.

Step 6: Fill out Enrollment Forms
Log in to your GO.KWC Application Hub to view your Enrollment Checklist and complete all required forms.
Your hub will guide you through important next steps, including housing, advising, and orientation details.
