Welcome to Wesleyan!
We are excited you are joining the Wesleyan family in Fall 2026! Whether you are coming to Kentucky Wesleyan as a first-year student or a transfer student, New Student Orientation will ensure that your transition to Kentucky Wesleyan is smooth and enjoyable. Move-in for new students who are not fall athletes will occur on Friday, August 21st from 9am-11am.
All new students (both first-years and transfers) are required to participate in New Student Orientation which directly follows move-in and is scheduled Friday, August 21 through Monday, August 24. Classes begin on Tuesday, August 25. Through participating in New Student Orientation, we hope that all new students will:
- Enhance their understanding of college requirements and resources designed to support them as they strive for academic success.
- Connect to the Kentucky Wesleyan community and build their confidence and excitement about their college choice.
- Discover Kentucky Wesleyan College’s traditions and campus culture.
- Understand the transitional issues (social and academic) they may encounter during their first year and how to manage them.
- Intellectually engage with faculty, staff, administrators, and other students to strengthen their understanding of the academic expectations of the college experience.

Tips for Arriving to Campus
Arriving On Campus
Students are assigned specific timeframes to arrive and check-in on Move-In Days through our centralized check-in station on Wesleyan Way Drive. Upon arrival to campus, all students and families must report first to our central check-in. There, students will receive orientation materials, room key (if applicable) and directions to their move-in location for their residence hall.
Look for brightly dressed and high energy students, faculty and staff to welcome you to campus and help you find your way!
Planning for Move-In
To ensure you are move-in ready here are a few tips for the day:
- To help reduce congestion, please only bring one-two vehicles with you.
- We encourage you to bring your own dolly or wagon to help assist you in the move.
- While we offer move-in assistance it is best to plan to move-in your own belongings – wear closed toed shoes, drink plenty of water, and wear sunscreen.
