Biography
Timothy Payment ’97 has served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer since graduating from Kentucky Wesleyan College. Over the course of 30 years, he built a distinguished career specializing in strategic operations, international engagement, and defense policy.
He holds a Baccalaureate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College, a Master’s degree in Management from Webster University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, where he also served as a Fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
His career includes multiple operational deployments to Bosnia, Eastern Europe, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, providing him with firsthand insight into global conflict and diplomacy. Tim brings a practical, mission-driven perspective to the study of political science, international relations, and U.S. military history, preparing students to navigate the complexities of global affairs.
Tim and his wife, Allison, have three children, all currently college students.
