Kentucky Wesleyan College announces the launch of its Priority Panther Admissions Program, a new early action initiative designed to reward high school seniors who take decisive steps in their college journey by October 1.
Students who apply to KWC, submit their high school transcript, and visit campus by October 1 will receive first access to housing selection and course registration for Fall 2026, placing them at the front of the line for shaping their ideal college experience.
“This program reflects something we call ‘The Wesleyan Way’—a promise to support one another, strive with integrity and lead with honor and love,” said President James Cousins. “At Kentucky Wesleyan, that love in Christ binds us together in a community where students are pushed to achieve more, challenged by one another to grow and supported at every step. The successes they bring with them will be multiplied here—enriched by a campus devoted to deep learning, strong character and lasting purpose.”
The Priority Panther program is the latest in a series of student-centered access initiatives at KWC. It follows the recent launch of the Guaranteed Admission Program, which guarantees admission to qualifying high school seniors in Daviess and surrounding counties, announced in May 2025. Together, these initiatives reflect Kentucky Wesleyan’s commitment to tearing down barriers and making college more accessible for local students and families.
“It’s not just about making college possible—it’s about making it personal,” said Matthew Ruark, assistant vice president of enrollment management. “We want students to see themselves at Wesleyan, not just someday, but now—with clear steps and early advantages to help them succeed.”
Known for its small class sizes, vibrant student life, NCAA Division II athletics and a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Kentucky Wesleyan College continues to distinguish itself as Western Kentucky’s premier private college. With 29 majors, 13 pre-professional programs and a personalized approach to education, students find not just academic excellence, but a community that invests in their success.
