Hail to thee!
Welcome home to Kentucky Wesleyan College!
What does “alumni” mean exactly?
“Alumni” is Latin and derives from the verb alere, which means ‘to bring up,’ ‘to nourish.’ In Latin literature, the term alumnus is used frequently to indicate “he who is nourished by a person who is not a natural parent.”
Beginning with the first graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, Mr. Benjamin Best, in 1866 all the way to this year’s graduating class – Kentucky Wesleyan College has nourished thousands of young people creating alumni who have made a difference in the lives of countless others. Being an alumnus/alumna of Kentucky Wesleyan College is an honor!
We want to continue “nourishing” and “bringing up” the nearly 8,000 people stretched across 14 countries around the globe who are alumni of Kentucky Wesleyan College. We want to be a resource for you! From social events and activities locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, to career development and mentor opportunities, to recruiting the next generation of Kentucky Wesleyan College students – the Alumni Office wants to keep that special Kentucky Wesleyan connection strong.

Graduates of the Last Decade
Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) is an affinity group within the KWC Alumni Association open to all alumni who have graduates from Kentucky Wesleyan College within the last 10 years. GOLD serves as an outlet for recent graduates to connect with one another in an environment that fosters career advancement, network expansion & philanthropic awareness. There’s nothing you need to do to “join” the GOLD group – if you graduated within the last 10 years (Classes of 2013-2023), you’re in!
The College is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our GOLD alumni and to provide resources, special programming & events for this special group. From professional development and community events to happy hours and service opportunities, our goal is to allow GOLD alumni to grow their affinity with Kentucky Wesleyan College and each other. Check out the list of events listed, plan to celebrate GOLD Week with us & consider joining the GOLD Circle of the 1858 Society to ensure that we can provide scholarships and other opportunities to future students just like we did for you!
