Communication Arts Program Requirements
The Communication Arts major requires approximately 39–42 credit hours of coursework. Core requirements include Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Mass Media, Journalism, and Communication Theory. Students also complete courses in media writing, organizational communication, and digital production. Electives allow specialization in areas such as broadcasting, public relations, or visual communication. A senior seminar provides the opportunity to integrate theory and practice through a major research project or applied communication project.
