Music Performance Program Features
At Kentucky Wesleyan, the Music Performance program combines rigorous training with abundant performance opportunities. Students receive individualized instruction on their chosen instrument or voice and participate in ensembles such as band, choir, or orchestra. Coursework in music theory, aural skills, and music history strengthens musicianship, while faculty mentors—accomplished performers themselves—provide expert guidance. Engaged learning includes recitals, masterclasses, and workshops with visiting artists, ensuring students experience diverse styles and professional feedback. Performance opportunities both on campus and in the community prepare graduates to step confidently into the world of professional music. The program emphasizes artistic growth, technical mastery, and professional preparation, making it an excellent foundation for graduate study or careers in music.
