Welcome Back, Panthers!

After a summer away, Kentucky Wesleyan is buzzing with energy and excitement as over 800 students returned to campus last week for a new academic year.  

Our returning Panthers have settled back into their residence halls, reconnected with friends, and begun another year of learning, growth, and discovery at KWC. “It’s really good to be back at KWC and see everybody again,” said senior Cambron Davis. “The first week was busy, but it’s been nice getting back into a routine and seeing what this year has in store.” 

The excitement was especially evident among the newest members of the Kentucky Wesleyan family. The Fall 2026 incoming class is one of the largest classes Kentucky Wesleyan has welcomed in nearly 50 years, bringing new enthusiasm to campus. 

“The Fall 2026 class is one of the largest incoming classes Kentucky Wesleyan College has welcomed in nearly 50 years,” said Matt Ruark ’09, Vice President of Enrollment Management. “This group already reflects the highest ideals of the Wesleyan Way, and their arrival kicks off a year of growth across our academic and athletic programs.” 

Throughout the days leading up to the first day of classes, faculty and staff have been working hard to make students feel welcomed and prepared for the year ahead. From helping students get settled in their residence halls to preparing classrooms and gathering spaces, the KWC community is ready to begin another year together. The beginning of the fall semester also marked an exciting time of transformation at Kentucky Wesleyan. 

“It comes alongside transformational work in teaching and learning at Wesleyan, including upcoming updates to our curriculum, general education program, and course model offerings,” said Ruark. “There’s no better time to be a Panther than right now.” 

Whether welcoming a student to campus for the very first time or watching a familiar face return, the KWC community is excited to have its Panthers back home.
