When you transfer to Kentucky Wesleyan, you step into a close-knit community where people actually know your name and want to see you succeed. Here are a few reasons transfer students choose KWC:

A Welcoming Community

You won’t get lost in the crowd at KWC. Our small campus makes it easy to find your people, settle in quickly, and pick up where you left off academically. Faculty and staff take the time to learn who you are and what you’re working toward, and our advising team works closely with you to make sure your credits count and you stay on track to graduate.

Programs That Prepare You

From nursing and business to education, biology, and the arts, our 40-plus undergraduate programs are built around small classes, hands-on learning, and faculty mentors who care about your success. Whether you’re continuing in the same major or starting something new, you’ll get the kind of personal attention that helps you grow into your career.

The Right Size, the Right Place

Owensboro is one of Kentucky’s most livable cities, with a thriving downtown, a strong job market, and easy access to internships, healthcare systems, schools, and employers across the region. You’ll have everything you need close by, plus a campus that feels like home from day one.

A Purpose-Driven Experience

At Kentucky Wesleyan, your education is about more than a degree. Rooted in our Christ-centered mission, KWC prepares you to live with honor, lead with integrity, and serve the people around you. You’ll graduate ready for your career, and ready for the life you want to build.

Why We Chose Wesleyan

Sydney ’25, Psychology

I chose Wesleyan as a transfer student because, from the beginning, I felt a connection that I didn’t find at other schools. I wasn’t treated just like another number—I felt seen, valued, and truly welcomed.

I would absolutely recommend KWC to others who are looking for a college that feels like family. K-Dub is so much more than earning a degree. It’s about connections that will carry though a lifetime.

Terrell ’27, Physical Education

I chose Wesleyan because of the family-like community it has and how welcoming everyone is. There’s something for everyone to do here, and there are a lot of good students, staff, and faculty who genuinely care about you.

The whole Student Life Office always checks on me and are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

My major is Physical Education and I wanted to study it here because I heard that the PE professor, Professor Harper, was really good, so she’s someone I wanted to learn from and work with. FYI, Professor Harper is a phenomenal professor!
