Ambassador Criteria
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- At least second-semester freshman classification
- Have the desire to positively share their experience as a student at Kentucky Wesleyan College
- Have the desire to learn all facets of Kentucky Wesleyan College and remain updated on current events and progressive changes concerning the campus community
- Have a strong work ethic and a desire to set and achieve goals
- Display a willingness to learn the Kentucky Wesleyan College Campus Tour, and to present it in a professional manner to prospective students, families, alumni, and campus visitors
- Enjoy working in a team-orientated atmosphere
Responsibilities
- Serve as tour guide for prospective students, families, alumni, and other guests
- Attend various on-campus recruiting events throughout the year
- Attend Admissions events held off campus in selected areas to meet with prospective students and their families
- Assist the Admissions Office with various events, tasks, and duties in order to promote Kentucky Wesleyan College in the recruitment of new students
Expectations
- Be committed to Kentucky Wesleyan College and able to represent the College in a positive manner
- Attend all Admissions events for the semester
- Make Student Ambassadors a top priority, outside of academic and athletic obligations
- Attend mandatory Ambassador meetings as set by the Admissions staff. If an Ambassador cannot attend a scheduled meeting, the Ambassador must let the advisor know so an individual appointment can be made.
- Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. If a Student Ambassador falls below the minimum requirements, he/she will meet with the Advisor for a review. The Student Ambassador may be placed on probation, pending midterm or final grades.
- Provide superior customer service and mentorship to our prospective students and their families by utilizing excellent written and oral communication and poise while interacting with diverse groups
