Emeritus Professor of Elementary Education

After teaching as Professor of Elementary Education for twenty years at KWC, James retired in 2018.  In all his years of teaching, he has to admit that his favorite course to teach always was Educational Psychology.  He earned a doctoral cognate in Educational Psychology before coming to KWC.  He has continued to pursue his interest in psychology as he continues his training as a Jungian/Transpersonal Coach.  He has continued an active program of publication in social issues and religion (James taught a few religion classes at the College).  He and Irene love spending time with their grandchildren.  He is a volunteer adult literacy teacher and one of the editors of an Episcopal Franciscan magazine.  He is thankful to still have access to the College research data bases.  He recently published a book, The Mystic’s Way for Regular People (Wipf and Stock).
