“Wesleyan on the Waves” Will Set Sail June 3, 2018, to the Eastern Caribbean
Owensboro, Ky. (May 1, 2017) – Kentucky Wesleyan College is pleased to introduce “Wesleyan on the Waves,” a Wesleyan-themed cruise vacation for alumni and friends setting sail June 3, 2018, from Orlando (Port Canaveral), Fla. The cruise will be a seven-night sailing adventure aboard Royal Caribbean’s world-renowned Oasis of the Seas, with stops in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Labadee, Haiti.
“This is a first-of-its-kind event for our College, offering an opportunity to host a reunion at sea and connect alumni and friends of Wesleyan in a fun vacation environment,” said Eddie Kenny, senior director of alumni relations. “While specific Wesleyan-focused events will be offered onboard, families and friends will be able to travel at their leisure and make this a vacation to remember.”
Guests will enjoy seven nights aboard the Oasis of the Seas, a $50 onboard credit per guest and exclusive events while at sea for guests traveling with Kentucky Wesleyan. The Oasis of the Seas offers 25 dining options and seven distinct neighborhoods built for the ultimate cruise experience. From zipline thrills and FlowRider® surfing to the largest spa at sea, along with four pools, 10 whirlpools, a 3-D movie theater, Sports Zone, and Casino Royale, Oasis of the Seas offers something for everyone.

Darrell ’84. “We anticipate this cruise will bring together alumni from across the years, and across the country, along with their families, to create a first-of-its-kind Kentucky Wesleyan travel experience.”
AAA Exclusive Vacations is the official travel partner for the “Wesleyan on the Waves” cruise, managing all bookings and additional travel needs for the Kentucky Wesleyan group. Cruise reservations and any additional travel needs (i.e. air travel, ground transfers, hotel accommodations, theme park tickets, etc.) can be made by calling 844-205-6226 or visiting any local AAA branch. Guests simply need to reference “Wesleyan on the Waves” to secure special group pricing and amenities when booking.
A $250 deposit per guest is due at the time of booking and final payment must be made by March 1, 2018. In order to secure the “Wesleyan on the Waves” group pricing and amenities, deposits must be received prior to February 23, 2018.
