Wesleyan to Host Miniconcert and Careers in Music Lecture

The Kentucky Wesleyan College Chamber Orchestra will host an informal miniconcert on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 5:30 p.m. in Smith Lounge in the Winchester Center. The small chamber music ensemble is coached by Nick Palmer, Distinguished Conductor in Residence at the College, and Diane Earle, Artist in Residence and Director of the Kentucky Wesleyan Music Program.  The program includes pieces by Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Glazunov, spirituals, and “Over the Rainbow.”

Maestro Nick Palmer will also offer a lecture and discussion on careers in music, preparation involved and various jobs in the industry on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at noon in the lobby of the Ralph Center at the corner of South Griffith Ave. and College Drive.

Both events are free and open to the public.
