Family: Husband, Nick, and 6-month-old son, Joseph Thomason Kosewski
Career: “I was an associate financial representative with Northwestern Mutual in Paducah, Ky., for 10 years and was promoted to associate director of ASSET (the local team) with Northwestern Mutual Dallas while we lived there. We recently moved back to Paducah, and I’m enjoying time at home with our little one as we get settled in Kentucky.”
What are special memories of your years at Kentucky Wesleyan?
“My experiences helped mold me into the woman and leader I am today. I immediately joined Kappa Delta Sorority, where I later became president, and other campus organizations such as the Student Activities Programming Board, where I served as director. These organizations gave me the confidence I needed to realize my potential as a leader, both in school and in my professional career.
“Confidence and leadership skills are my main takeaways from KWC and for that I will always be grateful. Whether it’s the promotion at work or the recent status of becoming a mommy, I feel prepared and ready to take on any challenge.”
Why do you give to Kentucky Wesleyan?
“My first experience in giving was the Class of 2008 senior gift, a beautiful marble plaque in honor of the College’s 150thanniversary, located in front of the Winchester Center. I was a co-chair of the project, and it was a fun team to work with. Our class came together to present this great gift to the college.
“I LOVE KWC, and I want to support my alma mater in any capacity I can. We are blessed that we are able to donate every month (an automatic withdrawal, which is very easy), and it’s very important to me to help provide others with the same opportunities I had.
“I was honored to receive a scholarship from KWC, which was one of my biggest deciding factors in choosing to attend. I know my donations to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund help others choose Wesleyan, and that is a great reason to give.”
Why do you encourage others to give to Kentucky Wesleyan?
“The donations of alumni have helped make Kentucky Wesleyan the amazing place it is. I encourage my fellow alumni to reciprocate and help others have the same college experience you had.”
