Owensboro cheers on Keelan Cole in playoff debut

When Keelan Cole joined the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this season, nobody could have guessed he would be greeted with so much success in his rookie season.

The former Kentucky Wesleyan star has consistently been a target for Jacksonville this season, racking up 748 yards and 42 receptions in his rookie year. He has also scored three touchdowns.

On Sunday, Cole made his NFL playoff debut as the Jaguars defeated the Bills, 10-3. Jacksonville and Cole now advance in the playoffs to face the Steelers next week.

The Kentucky Wesleyan football team lost standout wide receiver Keelan Cole to graduation, but can still watch him play.

Cole was on the national stage Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars faced the Buffalo Bills in the NFL postseason.

KWC fans flocked to Legends Sports Bar and Grill in Owensboro to witness Cole, an undrafted free agent, start his journey to the Super Bowl.

However, it is what Cole did off the field that drew so many residents to his bandwagon.
