Laundry Rooms

Laundry 2Each residence hall is equipped with a laundry room for convenience of our summer guests. Our machines use a swipe card system for payment. A refundable ten dollar card deposit is required, and guests can place money on these cards in one dollar increments.

Guests are requested to show consideration for others by promptly removing clothes from washers and dryers. Guests should immediately report laundry machine problems to their Camp Coordinators or any member of our Summer Camp Team.

Mail Services

Kentucky Wesleyan College has a full-service post office, which is located in the Winchester Student Center. The hours of operation for the campus mailroom are 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. Monday–Friday. Most mail services are available through the campus mailroom, including United Parcel Service (UPS) and FedEx.

AV Equipment

Camps and Camp Coordinators often need audio-visual equipment, PowerPoint capabilities, overhead projectors, sounds systems, stages or other support equipment to facilitate their camps. Such equipment is available at an additional charge. Please notify the Summer Camp staff of any AV needs you have.

Phone Services

Individual rooms on our campus ARE NOT PROVIDED WITH TELEPHONES. Each room is equipped with a cable/telephone/computer jack, which each guest may use for their convenience. Each guest is encouraged to bring his or her own telephone [and/or computer]. Cables and cords are not provided.

Because of our campus-wide telecommunications and computer network, all incoming and outgoing calls from individual rooms or lobbies are “logged” on the campus mainframe computer. Prank, obscene or abusive calls will not be tolerated, and will be tracked by our mainframe computer. Guests will be assessed a $100.00 fine for any misuse of the telephone system.

For on-campus calls, just dial the four-digit number lists [i.e. 1234]; for off-campus calls, you must dial the entire number.

Vending Machines

For the convenience of our summer guests, vending machines are located in the game room in the Winchester Center. Soda, fruit juice and snacks, etc. may be obtained from these machines. Prices range from 50 cents to $1.25 per item. Guests are requested to treat these machines in a decent and appropriate fashion. If a problem should arise with a vending machine, guests should immediately report the problem to their Camp Coordinators or our Summer Programs Team.
