Nancy Green-Smith Exhibition

Nancy Green-Smith was born in Bremen, Ky., and resides in Owensboro. She taught art at the middle and high schools levels and retired from a successful teaching career in Livingston County.

Smith received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from Western Kentucky University.  She also earned thirty hours above from Murray State University with an endorsement in environmental education.

Green-Smith 2Her last exhibition, “Five Perspectives from Muhlenberg County,” was a joint venture with four fellow artists at The Glema Mahr Center for the Arts in Madisonville, Ky. She has also exhibited at Tribeca Gallery in Paducah, Ky., and Thistle Cottage in Greenville, Ky.  Smith placed first in the Murray Art Guild Visual Evidence Exhibition, Best of Show in the Visual Evidence 2014 Show and First Place in the Impression 2014 Exhibit in Mayfield, Ky.  She received a Robbie P. Ruby Merit Award for Photography at The Glema Mahr. She has won awards in the Yeiser Art Center’s annual Through the Lens Regional Show in Paducah, where she exhibited in the International Division of the same show. Smith was also one of 12 photographers chosen to exhibit work at Discovery Park of America in Tenn.
