About Kentucky Wesleyan College

The Application Process

  • Step 1: Complete the application

    • Submitting your application is all it takes to begin the most transformational time of your life! Applying is fast, easy, and FREE!
    • Fill out an application through our website, or submit one through the Common App. Both applications are given equal priority.

  • Step 2: Send official high school transcripts

    • Request that your official high school transcript be sent to us:
    • Kentucky Wesleyan College
      Office of Admissions
      3000 Frederica Street
      Owensboro, KY 42301
    • The Office of Admissions reserves the right to request additional information or a personal interview.

  • Step 3: Send ACT or SAT scores (optional)

    • Please note that Kentucky Wesleyan does not require ACT or SAT scores for admission. However, if you would like to submit your ACT or SAT scores, please request that your scores be sent to school code 1518 for ACT or 1369 for SAT. If your scores are on your transcript, we consider those to be official.

  • Step 4: Apply for financial aid

    • 100% of students at Kentucky Wesleyan College receive financial aid. To be eligible, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online when it opens in the Fall. You do not have to wait until you are admitted to Kentucky Wesleyan to apply for financial aid. The earlier you apply, the better chance you have that funds will be available. This is especially important for Kentucky residents to ensure you receive the best opportunities for financial aid.
    • To ensure that we receive your FAFSA information, indicate our institutional code (001969) in the Federal School Code field and list the appropriate housing code.
    • Each new undergraduate student is awarded an academic/merit scholarship when that student is admitted into Kentucky Wesleyan College. Eligibility for these varying scholarship amounts are based on the student’s cumulative high school grade point average (GPA).

  • Step 5: Submit your enrollment deposit

    • To secure your spot and receive priority housing and class placements, you should submit your enrollment deposit as soon as you are ready to commit to Kentucky Wesleyan.
    • Students must submit an enrollment deposit according to their status. Students in online programs or commuting to campus submit a $100 enrollment deposit, residential students submit a $200 enrollment deposit, and international students submit a $600 deposit. Deposits for the Fall semester are refundable until May 1.  Deposits for Spring and Summer semesters/terms are nonrefundable.

  • Step 6: Accept your awards

    • Accepting your award will ensure that your money is ready to be disbursed at the start of the semester.
    • Accept your award package online through your official student portal. This portal will become available to you once you officially commit to Kentucky Wesleyan, and you will receive login credentials at that time.

  • Step 7: Complete forms required for enrollment
